It was a pretty amazing
spring. As many of you know, I had the most incredible experience as the
FOX Philadelphia reporter in Hollywood going to the American Idol finals
and reporting about it on FOX TV. I even got to interview David Cook,
the winner, and David Archuleta, the runner-up. In my opinion, they are
both winners. And, FOX was so great. I was on TV five times, even when
they surprised me with my tickets to the finals. They said I was an Idol
Insider and asked me to be a guest to give my opinion about who would
win. I never expected they’d surprise me with tickets and I’d really BE
an insider!
It was so awesome that we
were there at both shows and met so many cool people. I was even on TV
Guide Network with Justin Guarini and I was interviewed on Access
Hollywood by reporter Laura Saltman. She knows I want to be on American
Idol when I’m 16 (only five years to wait) and after she heard me sing,
she said on the Access Hollywood website … “Remember you heard it hear
first. Rocco will make the Top 12 when he’s old enough!” How cool is
that!!
I had another incredible
honor. Build-A-Bear named me one of the 12 Huggable Heroes in the world
for 2008. I won a $7500 educational scholarship and $2500 goes to The
Little Rock Foundation. Plus, in July my parents and I go to Washington,
DC for a special three-day leadership program with all the heroes.
So, you can see this
spring was incredible. I graduated from Signal Hill Elementary School,
too, and next year I go to middle school.
